## What Hookai is

Hookai is an AI rap video generator. A user uploads one or two permissioned photos, chooses a scene and theme, and Hookai renders a short rap performance video with generated vocals, a beat and lip-sync.

## Generation modes

- **People** - solo (one photo), duo (two separate photos) or group (one photo containing both performers).
- **Pet** - pet photos use the same rendering pipeline with animal-aware prompt guidance: preserve species, fur, markings and anatomy; avoid human hands or impossible gestures. Pet identity and anatomy can vary between frames.

## Inputs

- One clear, front-facing, well-lit photo per performer, or one group photo.
- A theme: birthday, team win, how we met, who cooks better, or a custom description.
- Render settings: model (Standard, Fast, Pro, Ultra), resolution (480p or 720p), aspect ratio (9:16, 16:9, 1:1) and length (5-15 seconds).
- Optional scene: Hotel Lobby (orange), graffiti alley, studio booth, rooftop night, neon alley or court sunset.

## Output

- MP4 rap performance video with lip-sync and native rap audio (vocals plus beat).
- Default vertical 9:16; 16:9 and 1:1 are selectable.
- 480p or 720p; duration 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15 seconds.
- Hosted for 7 days after generation, then deleted. Downloads are the user's responsibility within that window.

## Audio and lyrics

Hookai writes and performs the rap audio as part of the render. The current studio does not accept an uploaded song, an audio file, or full custom lyrics; those inputs are planned. Hookai does not clone a specific artist's voice or reproduce a copyrighted track.

## Credits and billing

Renders are paid with credits. Cost depends on model, resolution and length; the studio shows the exact cost before generating. Standard 720p costs 1 credit per second; 480p costs half; Fast/Pro/Ultra cost more per 10 seconds. Failed renders are not charged. One-time packs and optional subscriptions are listed in `/agents/pricing.md`.

## Limits

Results are generative and may vary in facial details, hands, mouth movement, audio and background. A clear photo improves consistency but does not guarantee an exact likeness. Do not use Hookai to impersonate, deceive or harass anyone.
